Procedure
- How to Apply: Access the Field Training Website and log in with your portal credentials to check announcements and browse available training institutions.
- (1) Check with your department/college office about the availability of field training courses (major) and credit recognition.
- If major credits are not available, general education credits may be granted. Contact the Field Training Support Center for details.
- Refer to the curriculum plan in the materials section to check major recognition. Please confirm with your department as this is only a reference.
- If the total credits based on actual working days are less than the credits available for major recognition, additional credits can be recognized as general education.
Example: 42 working days, 336 hours → 6 credits; if only 3 major credits are available, an additional 3 general education credits may be recognized (3 credits major + 3 credits general education = 6 credits).
- (2) After confirming course availability, apply for participation in the field training program on the website.
- Submit resume and personal statement, then apply to your preferred companies.
- Check each company’s operation plan before applying (click on the company name to view the plan).
- (3) After selection, complete course registration and the three-party agreement.
- Must register for the summer semester course during the registration period in mid-May.
- (4) Complete pre-training education, safety training, and human rights and gender equality education before the start of field training.
- (5) Ensure the three-party agreement and course registration are completed before starting the training.
Criteria for Field Training Program Disqualification
- (1) If the student personally contacts the training institution, or the institution directly recruits the student due to specific needs
- (2) If employment, early employment, labor, internship, or part-time work is confirmed or is in progress with the training institution
- (3) If the student is not enrolled in industrial accident insurance and accident insurance
Important Notes
- Students enrolled in field training courses are not allowed to take regular courses during the summer semester concurrently.
- Grades for field training courses (P/F) will be posted in mid-September, separate from regular summer semester courses.
- Even if the training ends early, grades will be posted after the end of all training sessions (August 31).
- If there are academic or administrative matters that need to be addressed based on field training course grades, check with the Academic Affairs Office or department office for confirmation.
- For students in extra semesters, graduation based solely on summer field training courses is not possible. Enrollment for the following semester (Fall 2023) is required even if credits are completed in field training.
